TPSC: Sri B. B. Das, IAS(Retd.) assumed the charge of Chairman on 31.10.2009.

       Shri B. B. Das, IAS(Retd.) took the oath of office and secrecy as Chairman, Tripura Public Service Commission here today. The oath was administered by the out-going Chairman Shri S. Sailo, IAS(Retd.). Shri Das joined the Commission as Member on 24.09.2009. Prior to joining the Commission, Shri Das retired from Govt. Service as Secretary to the Govt. of Tripura. Shri Das has in his credit about 30 years' experience in administration.Shri Das served under the Govt. of Tripura as District Magistrate, Director, Commissioner of Taxes, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Member Secretary, OBC Commission etc. and finally as Secretary to the Government.

THE TWELFTH NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF CHAIR PERSONS OF STATE P.S.Cs  WAS HELD ON 20.02.2010 & 21.02.2010 IN NEW DELHI IN THE UPSC PREMISES. THE CONFERENCE WAS INAUGURATED BY THE HON’BLE UNION MINISTER, SHRI PRITHVIRAJ CHAVAN AND  CHAIRED BY THE HON’BLE CHAIRMAN, U.P.S.C.
